In 2012, supporting Sankofa’s mission to provide quality employment for needy Africans, Sankofa provided seed money to teach needy Africans to sew and make jewelry.  Seed money also included the purchase of Singer sewing machines.  Based on a relationship of trust, the plan is to make items in Ghana, sell the items in the USA, and return the money to Ghana to help meet basic needs of those participating and their families.  Down the road, Sankofa plans to sell the same items in Africa, starting in Ghana.
2012-2013 was limited to training, quality control, and more.  In 2014, Sankofa began selling items in the USA with success.  In 2016, Sankofa plans to launch the “Jenevive Collection”, clothing and jewelry for men and women.
