Sankofa International, Inc. (Sankofa) has been helping Africa's needy become self sustaining since 1993 without government grants or corporate sponsorship. Family and Friends Day is one of Sankofa's annual events to raise funds. The event, which is fun, entertaining, and educational, is for all ages. One of the major activities of the Day is the selling of hand-made African woodcarvings, jewelry, clothing for men and women, artwork, and more, at unbelievably low prices.
