Dawda Salami (Baba) is married with three children, and lives in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Baba believes that painting is God’s calling on his life.
Unfortunately for Baba, over the years, there has been no steady demand for his services so he has had challenges caring for his family.
In 2008, Baba painted beautiful artwork for Sankofa and then disappeared for several years, only to resurface in 2013. Today, Baba paints for Sankofa, full time, caring for his family with the money received from Sankofa. Baba thanks God for this opportunity.
