Gifty attended senior high school and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), both located in Kumasi-Ghana, West Africa, on scholarships provided by Sankofa International, Inc. (Sankofa).

Gifty graduated from KNUST in 2010 with a degree in Human Settlement Planning. She is currently working with Sankofa to help promote and manage the Sankofa National Scholarship Program in Ghana.
